BIO

Omar Qureshi is based in the Los Angeles, California but hails from rural Missouri.

In addition to being a Moth Grand Slam Champion, Omar tours around the country with The Moth. Recently, he performed at the Sundance Film Festival. 

​

His one-man show Omar Qureshi: Mad Metaphysical has played to sold out audiences in New York, LA, Chicago, and Boston. 

​

He was the 2016 San Francisco Funny Fest champion, beating out over a hundred other comics. He has performed at the Desi, Stanford, and Sacramento comedy festivals and done sets at the Westside Comedy Theater, Cobb's, SF Punch Line, and San Jose Improv.

In addition to stand up, Omar also speaks to organizations and schools about growing up as an ethnic and religious minority from Missouri. 

Omar previously worked at a hedge fund and attended Stanford Law School.
